PART 98

She mused. Perhaps it was worthwhile afterall - her honouring Geenie's invite with two nice friends...having fun.

Chances are that she needed the day out. Her ailing career was not the best of situations to be caught up in. And it was her hope: Magna would throw her a life line.
PART 97

The claustrophobic overwhelming feeling Zain had, could be said to be quite short-lived because not more than a few minutes after the crazy fellow with the flare gun was taken away, she began to enjoy herself once more.
PART 96

But that feeling was soon overtaken by one of urgency and need. He almost yelled down the communications radio. Such that, the response from the other ends was equally as urgent as the instinct of his reaction.

In less the time it took to scrutinize, with a metal scanner, half a dozen fans going in, the offender with the remains of the weapon was arrested just before another irate fan proceeded to punch him from behind.

PART 95

So when he was caught off guard barking some references to a drunk mistaking his wife for his mistress, on the communications radio, just at the moment the flare flashed in the evening skies, he experienced a sudden and complacent feeling of inadequacy
PART 94

That is the nature, he was inclined to lead his men with. They knew him well enough to relate to the humorous way he loved to manage the team.

Often enough, the jokes were with references to the funny anecdotes that often happen to them when they are out and about for drinks. And I don't mean fruit juice for drinks.
PART 93

For this reason, they; the ground keepers exert themselves to keep from complacency. Jon, being the head security detail was in hand to manage the rest of the security team. And being the fellow he is, did not hesitate to bark down the communications radio giving out instructions backed up by jocular remarks and threats.
PART 92

It is not as if Jon Richmond expected the weekend's matchup to be any less strenuous or demanding than any other such weekends. It is just that excessive familiarity with crowd control tends to make one complacent.

And you are only as good as the crowd you keep.
PART 91

The flare took a hapharzardly chosen path and landed a few feet from the the Boomers' goal square. And then it happened; the whole Arena erupted in what had a passing resemblance to a riot.

People were shouting at the opposites ends: something to the effect that someone had detonated an explosive.
PART 90

I was beginning to lose whatever enjoyment I still had of the game and whatever security I felt within the confines of the sixth row. The racket in the Arena it seemed was brought down to a sudden hush, just at the point the gunman fired the flare gun.
PART 89

Back at the Arena the circumstances surrounding our well being at the sections where the flare gun was brandished was, in a sudden compromise. Certain persons not too far from the fellow with the flare gun had began to confront the said gunman.

One of them even tried to wrestle the object off the hands of the fellow, while throwing weak punches at him. But he succeeded only in whipping up the fears of the few panic-strickened persons around them.

PART 88

Now Jamie is not one to give up that easily. He could make a call to the fellow from whom he got the papers, to get a confirmation on a few points. Or he could call me to get an opinion.

Which ever the case, he wasn't about to base a week's worth of wages on some unevenly put together statistics sheets, without some amounts of assurances.
PART 87

Jamie pondered on the bits of the sheets he believed would do his choices more harm than good.

There was a player largely unknown but ranked, he believed, above a player who had more to offer the Redhook team. He did not know whether to accept the under-ranked player as an honest mistake or simply as a dark horse hidden to mislead would be pundits about his importance to the Redhook team.

PART 86

Such that the RB index is an attempt at measuring a player's prowess and to a certain extent; intuition in an XC8 game.
PART 85

Other aspects of the cheat sheets included players' retention of balance index. This estimate is with reference to players' average times between falls in recent matchups. And it was marked out as the RB index.

The RB index is an indication of the fluidity of a teams' progress from the defensive lines to an opponent's goal square. This indicates how easily a member can hamper the efforts of his team mates if he loses balance often enough.
PART 84

With the players ranked and listed under such named columns, the meanings of the aforementioned acronyms goes thus:

FG-Field Goals
PG-Penalty Goals (sometimes wrongly referred to as Punch Goals)
LB1-last but 1 passes to score
DI-Defensive Interception or Preventions
IOP-Interception of Passes
PART 83

In introspect a summary of the cheat sheets would go thus:

Rank Player
FG
PG
LB1
DI
IOP
